Notes for Øyvind Alfred Jansen
Øyvind Alfred Jansen born 1932, my (Lill Juelsen) oldest brother left us yesterday, only 9 months after our brother Ragnar. Øyvind was educated a teacher, but was early headhunted into the personnell and security area of the oil business. A Mgr for personnell in Mobil Exploration and for a few years we worked in neighbouring buildings in Akersgt in Oslo. Later, he and his family, his wife Eva, the children Styrk, Jarle, Sjur and Sylvelin moved westwards to the Oil Adventure of the Statfjord rigg. Here his carriere was at a peak when tough cardiac failure hit him and he had to retire. I was 6 years when he married Eva and they moved into the first floor of our parental home, which I later took over. Øyvind was knowledgeable, he, as all of us loved singing and music and he even picked up conducting the youth choir after dad Arne (that he initiated during the war). Øyvind was a talented and versatile man. He suffered serious cardiac failure for so many years, but was well taken care of by the health community and kept up mental activity persistently and smart and will be remembered also by his written aftermath, books about his life and books with an evangelical agenda .
