Elna Oliva Eriksen
Eriksen, Elna Oliva Born April 22, 1926 in Bergen, Norway, died Aug. 31, 2015 from a stroke. Preceded in death by her husband, Rolf. Elna passed away at one of her favorite places, at the lake surrounded by family.
She is survived by sons, Robert (Lynne) and Rune (Sharon); daughter, Linda (Mike); grandchildren, Jessica (Derek), Dustin, Krista (Alex), Kyle (Nick), Evan, Elsa, and Emily (Kurt); great-grandchildren, Cody, Josh, Lyla and Lydia.
Elna lived through the German occupation of Norway during WWII. She married Rolf in 1948. In 1958, they immigrated from Norway to Minnesota, living in S. Mpls until her death. Elna retired from Northwest Airlines and enjoyed traveling with Rolf to Ft. Myers for many years. Elna especially loved spending time with all her family.
She was an exceptional cook and brought many special recipes from Norway. She loved to host the Holidays. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. We love you Mom/Grandma!
Memorial service at the Washburn-McReavy Nokomis Park Chapel, on Monday, Sept. 7 at 3 PM, with visitation one hour prior and lunch to follow at: Washburn-McReavy.com Nokomis Park Chapel 612-721-1651 1838 E. Minnehaha Parkway
